Hey, how’ve you been?
I miss you everyday
I find I spend most of my day waiting to view your “my day”
My how times changed seasons have been better

I still wear the hat you gave me in cases of inclement weather
It stormed a lot in my room, about a month ago, a few monsoons came through

Threw a fit, had to pick up a broom, cleaned up all the lovely things we had
Put it in a box and hid it back way back like back in the past behind my smile
Behind the closet and all the memories you helped me pack

I still have your letters
I meant to write you back but I’m stuck in the past and my hands keep shaking
In fact I’m good at procrastinating
One of my few talents along with silvery sentences, gold songs, and bronze ballads
Everybody was voting for me and you
But I guess we were short a few ballots
